5 Seconds (“the App”) is a mobile party game developed and operated by Dzianis Huletski (“Developer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App may process, what stays on your device, what may be shared with third-party providers, and what choices you have.
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.
1. What the App Does
5 Seconds is a fast-paced party game designed for local entertainment. Depending on the version, the App may provide timed question rounds, category packs, game settings, progression state, optional unlockable content, and premium features or subscriptions.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The App is designed to keep core gameplay state locally on your device. Depending on the features available in the version you use, this local data may include:
- game settings and preferences;
- language selection;
- audio, haptic, and visual preferences;
- locally saved progress or unlock state;
- last-used categories or packs;
- on-device timers and session state;
- subscription entitlement state as needed for app functionality.
This local data generally remains on your device unless you remove the App, reset your device, restore purchases through Apple, or unless a future cloud-sync feature is introduced.
3. Personal Information We May Receive
We do not require you to create an account to play the core game.
We may receive limited personal information only in specific cases, for example:
- if you contact us by email for support;
- if you submit bug reports, feedback, or questions;
- if Apple provides limited subscription or transaction-related status information needed to verify access.
If you email us, we may receive your email address and any information you include in your message.
4. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Billing
The App may offer paid content, premium features, or subscription-based access through Apple’s in-app purchase systems, including StoreKit. Billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple through your Apple ID and App Store account.
We do not receive your full payment card details.
5. Analytics and Diagnostics
The App may use privacy-conscious analytics, crash diagnostics, or performance monitoring tools to help us improve stability, usability, and product quality.
Depending on the release version, such data may include information such as:
- app version and device type;
- operating system version;
- language or region setting;
- crash logs or diagnostic events;
- high-level usage events such as screen openings or feature usage.
We do not use analytics to sell your personal data. If tracking permissions are ever required by an external service or product change, the App will present the applicable iOS system prompt where legally required.
6. Advertising
If the App is described as ad-free in the released version, then the core gameplay experience does not rely on third-party advertising SDKs. If that changes in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when that change takes effect.
7. User-Generated Content
If the App includes custom prompts, custom category creation, shared packs, or similar features in the future, content created by you may be stored locally on your device unless otherwise stated. If cloud storage, moderation, or external sharing features are later added, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App may be enjoyable for families and mixed-age groups, but it is not specifically directed to children as a data collection service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children as a primary business model.
If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information through support communication or another feature, they may contact us and request review or deletion where applicable.
9. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information only where reasonably necessary, for example:
- with Apple for purchases and subscription handling;
- with service providers that help operate analytics, diagnostics, or hosting, if used;
- when required by law, regulation, or valid legal request;
- to protect the safety, rights, or integrity of users, the Developer, or the App.
10. Data Retention
Locally stored game data remains on your device until you remove it, reset the App, delete the App, or replace it through your own device actions.
Support emails, diagnostics, or business records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, or operate the product.
11. Your Choices
You may be able to manage your data and privacy in several ways:
- delete the App and its local data from your device;
- manage subscriptions through your Apple ID settings;
- limit permissions granted to the App in iOS Settings, where applicable;
- contact us if you want to ask about support-related data we may hold.
12. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information processed in connection with the App. However, no method of storage, transmission, or electronic processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. International Use
The App may be used internationally. If support systems, diagnostics, or infrastructure providers are used, information may be processed in countries outside your place of residence, subject to the practices of those providers and applicable law.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may revise the effective date above and publish the updated version on the App’s legal page.
