5 Seconds is intended as a fast-response entertainment and party-style game experience. It is designed for light, playful use and is not intended to provide medical, psychological, educational, legal, or professional advice.
1. General Nature of the App
5 Seconds is a game. Challenges, prompts, categories, and timed interactions are intended for entertainment purposes only. Content may involve humor, quick thinking, wordplay, social awkwardness, or light pressure as part of the gameplay loop.
2. Not Medical or Mental Health Advice
The app is not a mental health tool, therapy tool, medical service, or crisis support service. Nothing in the app should be interpreted as advice for self-harm, mental health treatment, diagnosis, emotional crisis management, or emergency situations.
If you are in danger or need urgent help, do not rely on the app. Contact local emergency services or a qualified support provider.
3. Timed Gameplay and User Comfort
The product may include timed rounds, pressure-based answering, or fast-response mechanics. Some users may find timed interactions stressful, frustrating, or overstimulating. Users should stop using the app if gameplay feels uncomfortable, upsetting, or unsuitable.
4. Content Suitability
Depending on the final release version, game content may include general knowledge prompts, humorous prompts, social prompts, awkward prompts, or other entertainment-oriented categories. Some prompts may feel silly, unexpected, embarrassing, or unsuitable for certain users or contexts.
The app is not intended to encourage unsafe acts, humiliation, harassment, bullying, or dangerous real-world behaviour.
5. User Judgment Still Matters
Users remain responsible for how they interpret and respond to prompts, tasks, or categories. If a prompt appears inappropriate for your environment, age group, setting, health, or personal boundaries, you should skip it or stop playing.
6. Social and Group Use
If the app is used with friends, family, or in a group setting, players should act respectfully and avoid turning prompts into pressure, ridicule, exclusion, harassment, or coercion. The app is intended to support fun interaction, not social harm.
7. Age Appropriateness
The suitability of content may depend on the final question packs, categories, and product positioning. Parents, guardians, and users should exercise reasonable judgment regarding age-appropriate use.
8. No Guarantee That All Content Fits Every User
Because entertainment content is subjective, not every category, prompt, or challenge will feel suitable to every user. What feels funny to one player may feel awkward, stressful, or unwanted to another. This is one reason support and feedback channels exist.
9. Reporting Problematic Content
If you encounter content that appears inappropriate, offensive, misleading, harmful, broken, or clearly unsuitable, you may report it through the support contact listed on the Support page or by email.
10. Accessibility and Sensitivity
We may aim to improve readability, pacing, and usability over time, but we cannot guarantee that every version of the app will be equally suitable for every user profile, sensory preference, or accessibility need from day one.
11. No Liability for Personal Reactions
Users are responsible for deciding whether the app is appropriate for them and for their environment. The developer is not responsible for discomfort, embarrassment, frustration, or personal reactions arising from normal entertainment use, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
12. Changes to Content and Safety Notes
Categories, gameplay structure, prompt styles, and moderation practices may evolve over time. If the nature of the product changes materially, this page may be updated accordingly.
