1. Acceptance of These Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Slipstop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
2. Description of the Service
Slipstop is a productivity app designed to help users interrupt impulsive distracting app opens and redirect attention into short focus sessions. Depending on the version, the App may allow users to select distracting apps, use interruption or pause flows, start focus timers, view rescue statistics, and access optional premium features.
Slipstop is not a medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent ADHD or any other medical or mental health condition.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of accepting these Terms in your jurisdiction in order to use the App. If you are under the age required to enter into binding agreements where you live, you may use the App only with appropriate permission from a parent or legal guardian, if allowed by applicable law and platform rules.
4. Platform and System Dependencies
Some functionality in Slipstop depends on Apple platform capabilities, iOS version support, device compatibility, permissions, and system-level frameworks related to Screen Time, app selection, or focus-related interruption logic.
You understand that certain features may behave differently depending on your device, iOS version, permission status, system settings, or Apple platform limitations. We do not guarantee that every interruption or blocking-related feature will work identically on every device or under every system condition.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful, personal, and appropriate purposes. You must not:
- use the App in a way that violates any law or regulation;
- attempt to misuse, bypass, or interfere with the App’s intended focus or interruption logic in a way that harms the service or other users;
- reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the App, its infrastructure, or related system integrations, except where such rights cannot be limited under applicable law;
- use the App for deceptive, abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful purposes;
- circumvent subscription, entitlement, or feature restrictions.
6. Focus Features and Limitations
Slipstop may offer interruption flows, focus timers, temporary delay options, rescue statistics, and other attention-support features. These features are intended to support more intentional device use, but they are not guaranteed to prevent distraction, enforce behavior, or produce any specific outcome.
Productivity results, attention improvements, or changes in screen habits will vary by user and use context.
7. No Medical or Emergency Use
Slipstop must not be treated as medical advice, mental health treatment, crisis intervention, therapy, psychiatric care, or emergency support.
If you are experiencing a medical, psychological, or emergency situation, you should contact an appropriate licensed professional or emergency service rather than rely on the App.
8. User Content and Input
If the App allows you to enter settings, notes, preferences, support messages, or other information, you remain responsible for the content you choose to provide.
You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide and that doing so does not violate the rights of any third party.
9. Local Storage and App Data
Slipstop is designed as a local-first app where possible. Core settings, rescue statistics, focus sessions, and selected app-related state may be stored locally on your device.
Your use of the App is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains data handling in more detail.
10. Permissions and Screen Time Access
Some features of Slipstop may require you to grant permissions or authorization through iOS in order to support app-selection or interruption-related functionality. If you decline, revoke, or limit those permissions, some features may become unavailable or work only partially.
Additional information is available on the Permissions & Screen Time Access page.
11. Subscriptions and Paid Features
Some features of Slipstop may require a paid subscription or premium purchase. Billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled through Apple’s in-app purchase system.
Additional pricing, trial, renewal, and restoration terms are described on the Subscription Terms page.
12. Availability and Changes
The App, its features, and its pricing may change over time. Features may be added, modified, suspended, limited, or removed without notice where reasonably necessary for technical, legal, product, platform, or business reasons.
We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every user or every situation.
13. Experimental or Evolving Features
Some features may be new, evolving, dependent on Apple platform changes, or affected by system-level behaviors outside our direct control. Certain flows may work differently across devices, regions, iOS versions, or premium tiers.
14. Intellectual Property
The App, its code, design, branding, visual identity, structure, and related materials are owned by the developer or used with appropriate rights. Except where expressly permitted, you may not copy, resell, redistribute, modify, or create derivative products based on the App.
15. Termination or Suspension
We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to the App if reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, address abuse, investigate misuse, or respond to technical or platform-related requirements.
You may stop using the App at any time and may remove local data using the controls provided in the App or by deleting the App from your device.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties
Slipstop is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. No guarantee is made that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, reliable, or fit for any particular purpose.
No content, interruption flow, stat, recommendation, or product behavior should be interpreted as a guarantee of improved productivity, reduced screen time, or any medical or psychological benefit.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, productivity, business opportunities, or device usage outcomes arising from or related to the use of the App.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the maximum extent allowed under applicable law.
18. Third-Party Services and Platforms
The App may rely on third-party platforms or infrastructure, including Apple services, StoreKit, diagnostics tools, analytics providers, hosting providers, or similar services. We are not responsible for service outages, policy changes, framework limitations, or operational issues caused by third-party services or platform changes.
19. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in Poland, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
20. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The most recent published version will apply to future use of the App after publication. Continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
